-A mason jar full of fireflies, collected on a warm July evening.
-A clay pot holding a violet, dug from the lawn.
-A shoe box of butterflies, collected from my mother’s flower garden.
This is only a partial list of the things my mother would find in my room when I was a child.  I was so curious about nature that I was constantly bringing it home with me.  I would spend evenings looking up information in the encyclopedia to understand how to care for the life I kept in my room.

As a teen and now as an adult, I explore nature with a camera, finding joy in sharing my vision of natural beauty with others.  Along the way I have discovered that being in wild places is calming and restorative.

As you view my photographs, I hope you will find calm and joy.
